Privacy policy
This page explains what personal information Active Drive collects when you use this website or book driving lessons with us, and what we do with it. We've kept it plain because that's genuinely how simple our setup is — there's no advertising network or data broker involved anywhere in this.

How the contact form reaches us
We don't run our own server or database, so when you fill in the contact form and hit "send enquiry," what you've typed is sent to FormSubmit, a form-relay service, which forwards it straight on to our own email inbox and doesn't use it for anything else. It's a genuine send, not a draft you have to complete yourself — but it does mean your enquiry passes through FormSubmit's service, briefly, to get to us. What we hold once you do get in touch
If you email us, call us, or send that contact-form message, we hold whatever you've told us — your name, phone number, email address, the area you're in, and anything about your driving lesson needs — in our normal email inbox and phone contacts, the same way any small business keeps a record of its customers. We use it only to arrange, deliver and follow up on your driving lessons: to book you in, match you with an instructor, and get in touch about your lessons. We don't sell it, rent it out, or pass it to anyone for marketing purposes.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn't run any analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and it doesn't set any cookies of its own. The one exception is the map on our contact page, which embeds Google Maps directly from Google — that embed is subject to Google's own privacy policy, not this one, since it loads from Google's servers rather than ours.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as we're actively teaching you, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch — for example to book refresher lessons, or a Pass Plus course after you've passed. We don't keep enquiry details indefinitely if nothing ever comes of them. See our cancellation policy for how we handle lesson bookings specifically.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that's wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email active-drive@hotmail.co.uk and we'll sort it out directly — there's no formal request process to navigate, just tell us what you need. If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If anything about how we handle your information changes — for example if we ever add a proper booking system with its own database — we'll update this page to reflect it.
